A Fun Weekend in Oklahoma City- my 50th State!

This weekend was a big one for me- accomplishing the big goal of visiting all 50 Unites States! The last state on my list was Oklahoma. Having no other reason to visit the state I picked a weekend with an inexpensive non-stop flight and an Oklahoma City Thunder NBA game. The Thunder versus Celtics was also my first NBA game- another bucket list item. A productive and fun weekend adventure for sure. Daytrip to Montgomery, Alabama

After our rainy days in Gulf Shores, the sun came out as we continued our Alabama roadtrip into the state capital of Montgomery. Montgomery has been in United States history books multiple times, most notably during the Civil War era and during the Civil Rights Movement. Famous residents of Montgomery include Rosa Parks, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Jefferson Davis, and Zelda Fitzgerald.
