Blackberry Inn B&B, Watkins Glen, NY

Our night in Watkins Glen, NY was spent at Blackberry Inn Bed and Breakfast. Right off the main drag on 6th Street, we were able to walk to dinner at Rooster Fish Brewing Company.

There are three guest suites at the Blackberry Inn Watkins Glen- all have queen sized beds- one with its own bathroom and the other two share.

Our bathroom was huge.  No door which was strange (only a non-soundproofed curtain) but it was massive with two vessel sink bowls.

We were welcomed by the most friendly two dogs- one of which thinks he is a lapdog and my best friend.  If you know me, you know that I am not a real dog person (except for my own) but this little guy was soooooooo sweet!

Brian and David own the Blackberry Inn. These guys were some amazing chefs! We received some fresh baked oatmeal coconut cookies hot out of the oven. Yum!

But let’s talk about breakfast.  After a sound night sleep we packed up and readied ourselves for a hike through Watkins Glen State Park. One obviously needs to eat a delicious breakfast first.

(of note: the owners asked us repeatedly if we didn’t want the dogs around but they were awesome and so friendly so we wanted them to stay)

Breakfast started with yogurt, maple syrup, berries, and oats, along with a homemade scone! All the ingredients are from the area- farm to table. After these delicious treats I could have been done eating but the best was yet to come!

Irish bacon eggs benedict with spinach along with brussel sprouts and potatoes. Words cannot describe how amazing this dish tasted!Best breakfast I’ve had in a long, long time. These two should open their own restaurant- I would eat there everyday.

If you are exploring the Watkins Glen area at the southern part of Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes region of New York, consider a stay at the Blackberry Inn- be prepared for the most awesome breakfast of your life and genuinely nice and fun Inn owners Brian and David.

***My night at Blackberry Inn Bed and Breakfast was sponsored by the Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce. All opinions are my own.
