Butterbeer at Hogsmeade

Finally!  Harry Potter Land!  Harry Potter Land at Universal Studio in Orlando, Florida has been on my list since it first opened.  I loved the Harry Potter books and couldn’t wait to see Diagon Alley come to life.

The butterbeer line was huge! Since it was 90+ degrees it wasn’t shocking. BC got in line to ride the dueling dragon roller coaster which was went upside-down. Upside-down roller coasters are not my thing so in the butterbeer line I waited.

There are two kinds of butterbeer.  A frosty one and a frozen one.  Above is the frosty one.  The one with the straw below is the frozen one.  The frozen one is better but both are excellent.  Butterbeer really isn’t beer but a butterscotch carbonated creamy deliciousness.  Highly recommended on a hot day!

We got both kinds because that’s how I roll.

Universal really did the scenery very well.  Olivanders, Zonko’s Joke shop, Honeydews, they were all there.  I wanted to buy a wand but refrained.

And then it rained.  Sideways-rained.  They shut down rides for a while and we got stuck behind these 13 year old love birds in line for the Simpsons ride.  They were so in love that they even made matching shirts declaring their love.  They started dating on 10/30/11.  I’m jealous that BC and I don’t have matching t-shirts and we’ve been dating longer.  The front of the shirts were worse with giant hearts and their names.
