Peru Vacation Wrap-Up
Peru was great, highly recommended! Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu were all fantastic places to visit- nothing on the worst list here. Here are the highlights from my Peru vacation:
1) The Andes
The mountains were just beautiful. Our white water rafting guide said that they are beautiful during the rainy season (Janauary is in the middle of the rainy season) because everything is green. During the dry season, they are ugly brown.
2) Food and Drink
Everything was delicious! Pisco sours and Cusquenas were tasty as well.
3) Machu Picchu of course
One of the new 7 Wonders of the World
4) White water rafting!!!!
This was my most favorite activity of the trip. Level 4 rapids were so much fun!
5) Biking around Lima
It was a great way to see Miraflores and the historical center. It is so much better than sitting on a boring bus.
I do wish that I was able to hike the Inca Trail with my group but that’s okay, maybe next time 🙂 The tour group company G Adventures did a good job of accommodating my last minute request to come to Peru and the trip was well organized. If you are in the market for an adventure to Peru that is a good value and not too fancy, look them up. www.gadventures.com
Next up is Denver and skiing with my college friend Lauren. Keystone- here I come!
