Summer of Happy Hours

This summer has been filled with beach weekends, barbequing, and happy hours- some of my favorite things. It has been a photogenic summer as well. Last week we had a huge storm and these cotton ball clouds appeared after the rain and wind had cleared.

One favorite summer activity is the Sunday morning Farmers Market under the JFX bridge. Just say yes to pretty flowers and local produce.

My favorite happy hour of the summer so far was at Fogo de Chao for a Travel Massive meeting. Travel Massive is a group of travelers, travel writers, event coordinators, public relations, and more that meets in many big cities. We discuss travel (obviously) and working together, hopefully with yummy food and a drink.

Fogo de Chao recently debuted their new happy hour menu. Happy hour is from 4:30-630pm Monday through Friday.

These French fries hit the spot. There were delicious meat on a stick, sliders, and the best glass of happy hour wine I’ve had in a long time- this Argentinian Malbec.

Fogo de Chao is in the middle of the Inner Harbor, my favorite place to go for a run or walk.  There is always gorgeous water views, making your run seem a little less painful. Here is part of the National Aquarium in Baltimore in the Inner Harbor:

BC’s summer has been filled with work on the 3rd floor deck. He’s handy and likes to build things. For the Ravens NFL games that we do not attend, we can listen and watch the stadium activity from the comfort of our own deck.

Yum! Summer is all about grilling and happy hours for me as well 🙂 And brunch. I’m a big fan of South American Malbecs.
