The Journey to Peru

The journey to Peru was so much easier and shorter than the one to Thailand.  A 2 1/2 hour flight to Miami, 4 hour boring layover where nothing was open,

5 hour redeye from Miami to Lima, another 4 hour layover in Lima,

(some Starbucks and iPad to help pass the time)

1 hour death defying flight to Cusco and done.  I’ve flown many times and have gotten scared only a handful.  This was the worst by far.  I assumed the tuck position as if we were going down, most everyone was screaming, and the flight attendant was laying in the middle of the aisle grabbing an armrest with all her might.  Long story short, we survivedj but holy god that was frightening!

It is going to be quite a noisy sleep since everyone here believes in honking their horns a lot.  Due to sleep deprivation I highly doubt I’ll notice tonight.

I’m off to tour Cusco for a few hours to learn my way around.  Hopefully my next post will be a bit more exciting (but not exciting like plane crashing exciting- I’ve had enough of that forever).

I already like Peru better than Thailand.

    Hi Andrea!

I just came across your blog and I’m enjoying reading your adventures. I know this is an older post, but are you still in Peru? I’m going to be moving there this next year and would love to hear more of your story. I am coming from Thailand as well!

    Best,
    Jessica
